The Reading Room HTX is an independent reference library for books on Black visual art and culture.

The library is open weekly Wednesday to Sunday from 11 AM - 7 PM and currently located inside Sanman Studios at 1111 Providence St. Houston, TX 77002.

Born from the personal collection of writer and library founder Amarie Gipson, The Reading Room HTX is anchored by a growing collection of nearly 1000 books on Black visual art, culture and history.
